Imperfections or ‘flops‘ happen all the time as part of the process of handcrafting our unique toys, and always come with a discount to compensate for their little blemishes. We’ve made a list of the most common flops below to help you care for your Cryptid flops.

  • Air Bubbles are little craters happen when the silicone pushes the air to the corners of the mold when it’s poured in. Be sure to thoroughly wash these little divots as they can fill with lube and other liquids!

  • Nicks are small cuts in the silicone that happen when the toy snags in the mold or if there’s a snafu in trimming the excess. Be careful not to overly strain your toy to avoid stretching the nick into a tear!

  • Beauty Marks are small specks of pigment that haven’t quite mixed in. Nothing structural just superficial blemishes.

  • Short Pours are when the silicone doesn’t completely fill the mold on one side, creating a thinner area where details are more delicate.

  • Misshapes or dents are very rare and occur when the mold is squashed at some point. This slightly changes the end result of the shape.
